Moderation Panel
In this article, we'll go into detail about the moderation panel and how it operates.

Logging In
You can login to the ArrowChat moderation panel by visiting http://www.yoursite.com/arrowchat/mod/
in your browser (replacing yoursite.com with your own domain).
Adding Mods/Admins
Adding admins and moderators can only be done through the administration panel. You can login to the ArrowChat administration panel by visiting http://www.yoursite.com/arrowchat/admin/
in your browser (replacing yoursite.com with your own domain). Please see Logging Into the Admin Panel for more information.
In your ArrowChat admin panel, navigate to Users
-> Manage Users
.
Search for the username or user ID of the person you would like to add and click Edit
. You'll now be able to check the box to make the user an administrator or moderator. Be sure to hit Save Changes.
Mod Permissions
Users that you define as a moderator have the following permissions:
Reports | Can do reports, including warnings and banning users. |
Chat Rooms - Manage | Ability to add, edit all settings, and delete chat rooms. |
Chat Rooms - Logs | Ability to view chat room logs. |
Users - Ban | Ability to ban users by username or IP address. |
Admin Permissions
Users that you define as an administrator have the following permissions:
Reports | Can do reports, including warnings and banning users. |
Chat Rooms - Invisible Mode | Ability to not appear in the user list within a chat room. |
Chat Rooms - Manage | Ability to add, edit all settings, and delete chat rooms. |
Chat Rooms - Logs | Ability to view chat room logs. |
Moderator Logs | Ability to view actions done by other moderators (warnings/bans given and reports completed). |
Users - Ban | Ability to ban users by username or IP address. |
Users - Manage | Ability to fully edit users, including making them a moderator and seeing IP addresses. Admins cannot remove or assign admin access. |
Users - Logs | Ability to view user logs. |
