Upgrading ArrowChat Versions

Each version of ArrowChat has a different upgrade process. You will need to check our release notes forum and click on the version of ArrowChat that you wish to upgrade to. There will be detailed instructions in each thread.

Please note, if you are upgrading from a very outdated version of ArrowChat (e.g. v1.0 to v2.0), you will need to completely reinstall ArrowChat.

Upgrading ArrowChat Packages

This section will explain how you can upgrade ArrowChat packages. E.g. Starter package to business package.

  • Download the License Again

    Download ArrowChat from your dashboard. You should see that it says your new license type next to the license now (e.g. Business). If it still says the old type of license, your purchase was not successful.

  • Upload and Overwrite Files

    Drag and drop the arrowchat folder onto your server in the same place as the existing folder. Make sure you choose to overwrite all the files if asked.

  • Clear your Browser Cache

    Sometimes you may need to clear your browser cache by pressing Ctrl+F5 twice in a row when visiting any page on your site. This will help clear the old license files.

Free to Full Version

This section will explain how you can upgrade from the free version to the full version

  • Download the Full Version

    Download the full version of ArrowChat from your dashboard. Click the Add a License button if you have not added your license yet.

  • Upload and Overwrite Files

    Drag and drop the arrowchat folder onto your server in the same place as the existing folder. Make sure you choose to overwrite all the files if asked.
