Is there a code snippet I can use that gives a count of the total number of unread chat messages to the user? I'd like to add this to my website's menu instead of using the default mobile tab. Thanks!

There is no such API at the moment.

How does the mobile chat tab count the total unread messages? Maybe I can hack something from that.
