Translate Page - buggy on my installation (v3.0)

Clicking on a language from the popup menu consistently does nothing on my site. I typically have to click on that language two more times to get the translation to happen. Upon that third click it usually works. These translations should happen on the first click, though... not the second or third one. The script seems erratic.

Additionally, the flag icon on the button doesn't always change to the flag for the selected language once a page translation has occurred. So there seem to be several intermittencies in the operation of this app.
