Version 4.0 is already in the works and we need your help!

The desktop UI is stale. We are planning on a huge design change that will bring it up to the year 2020. With this design change, it is a possibility that we remove support for applications. Not only does this allow us to do some really cool things, but it would also improve the loading speed.

I am looking for everyone's thoughts on this. Do you use applications? Would you be disappointed if they were removed?

new customer here.. well personally I'am not using the apps feature. I don't mind if they were removed because I just need the chat function.. let see what other's in mind

Nope, I don't even have the full bar anymore. So I won't miss it the apps. To be honest I personally see it as bloat anyway.

By the way, I am loving the fresh new look on the main site. Top notch stuff there, Jason. Question is, is will 4.0 even be released in 2020?

Arrowchat currently is the only viable solution for chat on sites in the world! And with new updates and support it will become better and remain number 1!

I never saw any use for applications, people need chat. If they need to play a game or use some app they will just go do that on the app/site its availabe no need to add that to the chat, its also a distraction for users from your site!

The only one I think is good is the Google translate app.

Hopefully, a framework can be implemented; so, there is a possibility for the creation of apps in the future.

I would say get rid of some of the apps to simplify it, but maybe just rewrite the key ones like translate into a Plugin via your new API? SOmething that makes it easy "plug and play" or On/off .

I agree, keep the google translate or somehow integrate it. Best thing ever for communicating.

for the app integration functions, instead each user that needs this function could just use a translator browser extension/plugin. more functions, more reliable and up to date, more effective.

Can you recommend one? JT Translate doesn't seem to work with Arrowchat

I believe that these applications are outdated. Bots are what really matters. Autoresponders that can work as support. At least something simple, like the bot's response to the user's keywords, and it would be very cool. Strictly my opinion.

Totally agree with the previous comments, I've the apps disabled, and the only I would be interested (some kind of translation tool and some kind of chatbot for support) should be integrated in the same chat/chatrooms.
