I was just curious as to whether or not anyone has actually gotten any of the custom notifications to work in phpBB. Seemingly the guys at phpBB are even stumped. I've put the code everywhere they can think it should go, and it hasn't done anything. I've been told that the code simply isn't sufficient to invoke the action. I don't know if this is valid input or not and was wanting to confirm whether or not anyone has actually had any success with a custom notification. I'm simply trying to get a notification for replies to subscribed topics. Thanks in advance.

Which files did they tell you to look at? Maybe I can take a quick look.

I have many custom notifications over at my phpBB board on SammyServers.com - they all work fine.
