Elgg Notifications

Hey all,
So far - ArrowChat is working well on my Elgg site - and I'm pleased to see that v1.0.1 has incorporated some of the bugs we found.
I am desperate to get the notifications system working - at least a little, so would really appreciate some Elgg specific code.
Friend requests, and internal messages aren't really needed, as Elgg has that covered well. Where this would be awesome, is if we could integrate a basic 'catch-all' notification for actions performed on your content - eg someone comments on your blog, responds to a status update, wants to join your group etc.
I wait with fingers crossed - ready to sing the praises of ArrowChat to the Elgg community.
