Here are some of the things we're currently planning to introduce to ArrowChat soon:

  • ArrowChat Optimization - Fast websites are awesome! We'll be drastically improving the javascript file to make ArrowChat load ever faster.
  • ArrowChat Lite - Very fast websites are even better. There will be an ArrowChat Lite version that will be missing a lot of core features, but will be extremely light weight if you don't need all the bulk.
  • ArrowChat Business - A business ArrowChat version will be coming out specifically geared towards big business websites.
  • No Installation ArrowChat - Don't know a lot about websites? We'll be creating a version of ArrowChat that requires some script tags and that's it. No messy and confusing installation.
  • Guest Chat - More options for people that aren't logged into your site. Show them links...let them chat...it's up to you.
  • More Integration - ArrowChat should be a part of your website. For supported integrations, we'll be integrating ArrowChat better into your website.
  • Animations - You'll be able to enable smooth animations to popout your chat windows and tabs soon.
  • Gorgeous Themes - We're currently in the process of designing some beautiful themes for ArrowChat.
  • Support Center - We'll be implementing an option to use ArrowChat for live chat support, social chat or both.
  • Advertisements - Want to make some more cash? ArrowChat will have several options for putting ads into your chat.
  • ArrowChat Documentation and API - We promise it's coming soon! Better ArrowChat documentation and API features will lead to less confusion and more robust apps for our store.

As part of the ArrowChat optimization, most of these features will be implemented as plugins to keep the ArrowChat script light for features you don't need.

Please don't use this thread for questions like, "Will you be implementing this feature?". This is just a general overview of big features coming and is not a full list.

I hope you don't dwell too much into adding more feature and plugin ability and ignoring the fact that first the arrowchat is a 1 on 1 chat script. And at the moment my users (even using 1.0) still complain about it being buggy because it simply sucks when you use multiple tabs with Convo's up which 90% of people do when browsing forums.

It deletes, clears text doesn't show what was typed there is no sync of chat across multiple tabs. And this has been a known issue for a very long time yet it hasn't even been mentioned as a major fix.

You are completely missing the point of this thread.

We're trying to let you know what's in ArrowChat's future. This doesn't include anything minor or bug fixes.

I like the new theme the ArrowChat bar on the bottom of this site is using! Can't wait for the release!
And for those wondering about a release date:
http://www.arrowchat.com/support/faqs.php#faq8
It says:
"Typically, we do not provide release dates for any products. We found that promising a date and then missing that date would make our customers upset. Surprising our customers with new updates out of nowhere has worked much better for our team."
Running a site of my own, I've found this to be true as well.

I would like you to add more customization on the csss and html end. I'm working on creating a footer navigation menu and it would be helpful to use the chat system as a footer nav as well where I can use fancy javascript and css effects to create a grouped navigation.

Be able to integrate Gtalk and Facebook chat like the Meebo bar does.

How soon Lite version would be able to download?

I am hoping to get an answer on the Lite version, it the primary reason why I just purchased this product yet to find out that it's not ready for download yet. Wish the purchase page was a little more clear on this and not somewhere in tiny fonts. I hope I am wrong :)

Pretty decent chance, no guarantees though.
