can you have the premium with chat rooms as well? that is the only business feature that I am even using :/

Chat rooms are included in all packages but the lite edition does not have chat rooms.

so the second level plan does not come with applications right? does that include things like facebook like, etc?

Think of the lite edition as "Chat Only". It was made as a lightweight alternative to those customers that want to use chat only and don't need the extra bulk (it loads faster).

The premium package also comes with the branding-free edition which all those features if you need them.
