New message sound default off

I would love if you could put the sound that comes when you get a message in a chat group to default off. (The members will need to check in the box themselves for sounds). Love the chat system, but the admin/webmaster had to remove the sound completely due to too many complaints.

Any updates on this? Is there an option to have sound off by default in the latest version of ArrowChat?

I do not believe you can in the admin panel, but you can within the file init.php (not tested)

/public_html/chat/includes/init.php
