Hi,
I can see in Badoo.com a very cool and addictive function.
It is simple : The purpose is to be able to know (with a green tiny check icon) that our last message has been read or not by the person who is chatting with us.

The same way we already know in arrowchat when they are typing an answer thanks to the small chat icon which is appearing at the bottom right of the chat window.

I tend to not like this idea much as I think it invades privacy a little too much. However, we are definitely considering adding this as an optional thing.

Optional is the best way.
People really love that. When they send a message it is good to know if they have to hope for an answer and spend some time in waiting or drop the conversation knowing that the message has been read, but not answered.

By the way, you already do this function in arrowchat backend.
