The same way you promote them. However, the list doesn't update immediately and you must wait up to 30 seconds.

I have tried again and it still does not work. Once an user is moderator I get only the following options: Visit profile, Private Message, Block user. There isn't a demote option.

You need to be an admin to demote.

You need to make sure that you're an ArrowChat admin in the admin panel under 'Manage Users' and searching for your username.

ok you were right, I was not an administrator. However I was able to make the user a moderator not being an adminsitrator, how is this possible?
