Chatrooms: Click to select user

Can we have an option to select the user from the right bar in chatrooms when clicking on a username that sent a message in the chatroom?
Currently when there are 100 people in a chatroom and someone types something its very hard to scroll through users to find him for chat, the mention user when clicking is cool but click to chat is better/must at least for a bigger site
