Does this happen every time for you?
Almost every time.
Now, the red notification number doesn't go away even after I read the message. The only area it seems to work fine is the desktop platform. The mobile platform is going bananas. I don't understand the fresh installation went smoothly (no errors).

I have JQuery and JQuery UI both enabled.
I have Push Server working fine.
I have this installed in between the header file.

I was trying to help with testing the beta but too many members complains on my site already.

v4.0 beta mobile definitely needs fixing.

I don't see another choice but to go back to v3.0.7

Okay I see what's going on. So when you first get a notification chat from a "new" user (one you haven't chatted with before), and you click the blue bubble the page is blank (the notification user should be there but is not). The only way to view the notification from the "new" user is to then click the middle tab "online". Once there, and you click the notification from the new user... then it is sent to the recent chat page.

If that's the case the blue notification bubble (for new user notification) shouldn't first open to recent chat.

I still can't figure out why the red notification number goes up.

Didn't hear back from anyone. Went back to 3.0.7. All is back to normal.

Yeah, I'm not sure how to reproduce the notification issue. I went through the code, and nothing is jumping out at me. The best guess at the moment is that it may have something to do with multiple tabs being open.

I deleted v4.0 and reinstalled v4.0 fresh again (and cleared cached). On the first test message sent, the mobile platform goes blank and the notification goes bananas. Uninstalled v4.0 and installed 3.0.7, and works like a charm. Definitely bugs in v4.0 beta mobile platform.

Is 466 even an error that exists? Never heard of that.

When did you download the v4 beta? There was a fix implemented on August 28 for the admin panel.

I am using a custom integration and using Font Awesome Free 5.13.0 on the website causes the chat list icons to the right of the word Chat not to show. If I use a different version for example to try something different like a hosted newer version https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/ ... ll.min.css then the icons turn into boxes with a line through it.

So loading font awesome on your website seems to clash with arrow chat

I did a clean install.
1. Users are not able to view recent chat users (after having chatted with them)
2. Notification red bubble shows up and when you click no users show up (empty).
I did some testing on mobile and found this as well. User receives a message on mobile from another user and is presented with an empty list you have to click on online to see the person (but if they are now offline) you have no way to read your message from the other user.

I also found the bug with the number in the red bubble increasing if you remove the online list and enable chatrooms so in the image above would look like chats on one side and chat rooms on the right then clicking on chat rooms then clicking back onto chats when you click back onto chats is when the number increases. if you leave it sit there doing nothing the number keeps increasing over time.

The chats tab on mobile should show all conversations you have had effectively being an "Inbox" ?? Then I can see my new messages at the top then under recent chats ordered from newest to oldest.

Also consider something like this for the desktop view as after I close a chat bubble I have no way to find that chat with that person unless they are online in the online list or a search their name manually. Perhaps 3 tabs "Recent" "Online" "Chat Rooms"

Thanks for the reports!

I'll look into the Font Awesome thing and see if there is a way to fix that.

Regarding the online mobile list and notifications, that doesn't look right. Are you able to provide FTP access so that I can take a look?

Lastly, conversations will disappear with a user when they are closed, and this is intended. A user would use the online list or search to open a conversation with a closed user. If conversations were never closed, then there would be no point in even having a close button at all. If you want to continually talk to a user, you would simply not close their conversation. I think this makes much more sense than having a list of users that you never wish to talk to again.

Jitsi is still included. There is no language translation, but there is something that I'm heavily considering adding.

I see what you're saying but perhaps that should be up the admin. Cleaning out the inactive recent chat list should be included in the cron or even better have a daily/etc timer setting on the control panel. This way it does not affect performance. Just my 2 cents...
