We aren't going to be posting long term goals anymore due to our competitors monitoring this forum. However, v1.6 shouldn't be that far away so we're going to go ahead and release some of our plans for this update:

  • Dynamic links (Bar Links and Applications)
  • Cool new animations
  • Facebook integration
  • HTML5 desktop notifications
  • Chat room embedding
  • As always, a few other surprises

Themes, themes, and more themes! We're going to make a conscious effort to get some more themes on the store (free and paid).

Hope to see this sooner... can't wait for more gateways if you could add not only facebook, but yahoo, twitter and more. Keep up the great work! :-)

I have a suggestion...although probably not possible when supporting so many different CMS's...

Most sites have "white space" on the left and right side. It would be awesome if we could chose to have the Arrowchat bar display on any side...left, right, top, or bottom.

Just my 2 cents,

There is a LOT of work involved with this and it would probably look very awkward.

Personally I do not like the automatic acknowledgement of notifications by simply showing the popup. When I login and have 20 of them, I interact with the first one and then the 19 I have not read are gone (have to go to "show all"). I modified my version to acknowledge the notification when a user clicks a link in the notification. I also plan on adding an AJAX enabled 'x' icon on each notification to acknowledge and remove it w/o the need to navigate to a page. Of course I hate modifying you code since upgrades are no fun at all. Seems this would be a great built in feature IMO.

I second that, if we could browse between notifications it'd be great

Hi,

please make arrowchat run asyncronously, to be fully compatible work with Cloudflare's Rocket Loader !!

Rocket Loader is a general-purpose asynchronous JavaScript loader coupled with a lightweight virtual browser which can safely run any JavaScript code after window.onload. In other words, it turns a page which takes 12 seconds to load into a page which takes 2 seconds to load.

Recently, Google Improved AdSense so Google Ads no longer slows down your pages. What Google did is similar to what Rocket Loader does, except Rocket Loader does it for anything - ads, social media widgets, video players, even your own JavaScript code.

Turning on Rocket Loader will immediately improve a web page's window.onload time (assuming there is JavaScript on the page), which can have a positive impact on your Google search ranking.
