2.0 Embeds without iFrames?

Is there a way to get the embedding to work without iFrames? I find that iFrames are not so great with responive web designs.

I suppose it's technically possible, but there isn't a quick solution. You'd have to copy all the source code over from the /public/popout/index.php file and put it in one big <div>. I haven't tried it before, so you may need to tweak a few things.

I'm trying to make it look more part of the IPS suite rather than something bolted on, not having to use iFrames would make it work a little more consistent.

Otherwise, anyway to make cosmetic changes myself like header colour and font size?

Yes, but you'll need to know HTML and CSS. CSS alone should help you make it fit right into your site.

This is the problem with iFrames, when you make the message box embed look part of the site, tooltips etc.. go off screen:

Is the font size and type changeable via the admin page or are they fixed in the CSS?

Thanks for pointing that out. We'll have to fix the tooltips.

The font sizes are all handled in the CSS.

Ok cool, if tooltips get fixed, I probably won't need to mess around with fonts etc...

Do I need to raise a bug for it or have you already done this?

Find the patch you are upgrading to at viewforum.php?f=4

Each patch has an upgrade guide in it.
