I don't know how exactly the arrowchat mechanics work, but when I enable caching (php APC) from vbulletin, arrowchat tends to disappear. Anyways, that's what I have noticed.

When I enable caching arrowchat comes and goes. If I disable caching, arrowchat stays and my cpu load triples. As one can see, caching is very handy, but arrowchat is too buggy with it.

Has anyone experience something similar to this? maybe we can find the root cause together.

I've enabled both EAccelerator and Xcache before without problems. Without them I do not have any issues either though.

I'm guessing it's a vbulletin and arrowchat issue. When I enable APC via vbulletin's config file, that's when the chat starts coming and going. Everything else on my site works fine, it's just arrowchat. Maybe it's a plugin in vbulletin, but I doubt it since arrowchat it's not exactly tied to vb.

I'm using APC 3.1.10 with PHP 5.3.13 and haven't had any issues so far. Have you adjusted the APC configuration already?
