Disable the buddylist button and chat button

I want to disable the buddylist and chat buttons for certain memberships on skadate.. I want them to load still but the person not able to open them. so they will still be on other peoples list and able to get a message, but not able to initiate a conversation only reply.

can anyone direct me to the file that controlls the buddylist button ?

no one knows how to do this?

I tried to set up a function to pull the membership ID then do an If statement to null out the SQL list before it is loaded for the buddylist.. but this is not working..
