have message pop up instead of just red notification box

Is there a way to have a message window automatically pop up when a message is sent....instead of just the red box with the number on it?

Good suggestion; I'll add this to our todo.

This used to be a feature a while ago but it seems that it got lost somewhere. The database entry is still there, but it doesn't work.
