Right. Yesterday I purchased the kickstarter package for ArrowChat and installed it on my Xenforo forum.
The installation was a piece of cake and got it working in less than 20 minutes. Perfect (I thought).

When I woke up this morning, the chat bar had gone. Why? I logged into the admin panel and for some reason the database installation date was some time in 1969, there were no users, no messages and the database size was -1mb. Eh? I also had problems logging into the admin panel, I had to edit the arrowchat_admin table to re-enter the username and password for it to let me in again. Once I'd done that, I got in and found the above... obviously something somewhere had managed to get corrupted overnight.

So, I used phpmyadmin to remove the new tables, deleted the data files and uploaded the files to start again from scratch. Once again, within 20 minutes it was working fine. Tested it, set up some chat rooms, put all the settings back to how I wanted and there seemed to be no issue.

I have just come back to my PC after being out for the day and low and behold... the bar has gone again. What the hell has happened now? So, I try to log into the admin panel again... same problem "invalid username/password". So, back into phpmyadmin, edit the arrowchat_admin table, again, but this time it doesn't work. No matter what I put in that table, I cannot get into the admin panel.

Now I know it was working fine before I went out... yet a few hours later it's all gone tits up again! What the hell is going on? Why is software that I have paid for working, then all of a sudden, not working?

My forum is as http://forum.elgrandoc.uk

I need some help with this, else I'm going to have to ask for a refund of my money and you can take your awful buggy software back.

Oh... and since I wrote that post, after doing precisely NOTHING, I have been able to log into the admin panel. I did nothing other than that, and now the bar is back.
This is doing my head in!

Can someone please give me some idea as to what is going on and why it's happening?

Oh, and what a surprise... it's stopped working again and the database is showing as being set up in 1969 again! Have the arrowchat team got their hands on a DeLorean and a Flux Capacitor?

I have literally done NOTHING to this in the last hour... it has gone from not working, to working, to not working again! I'm getting almighty pissed off with this!

And now, once again, after doing nothing, it's working again.

This certainly doesn't have anything to do with ArrowChat. Something on your server is causing the database tables to drop it sounds like, but I'm not sure what that would be.

The tables are there. When this happens, I go into phpmyadmin and all the tables are there, no problem at all. It just keeps intermittently failing and reappearing.
Why would this particular piece of software keep doing this, yet no other software I am running has a problem (xenforo, mediawiki, opencart and wordpress)? There is something fundamentally wrong with this install, and just saying "it's not us" is not helpful at all. Maybe some pointers as to how I can find out WHAT is causing the problem is would be good. After all, this is a PAID software and it is not working as it should. Under trade laws, if a product sold is not fit for purpose, then a full refund shall be issued and the product returned. If I cannot get a sensible answer... I will have to uninstall, cancel my licence and ask for my money back.

If the tables are there then perhaps there are connection issues to the database. Check your max number of connections and that the mysql server is not crashing.

The admin panel data comes straight from your database; this is how I know it isn't a problem with ArrowChat directly. There is some kind of connection error.
