I've upgraded to version 2.1 and since than the popout version of the chat gives the message: "You must register or login to use chat."

Chat in bar works without problems.

Debug info says that everything is working fine. User_id is set.

What to do?

Have you done some of the basics first just to rule out quick-fixes?

  • Admin Control Panel > System > Repair ArrowChat

  • Cleared the cache/cookies from the browser you're trying, closed the entire browser, and reloaded it to try again?

  • What browser(s) are you using?
    • Have you tried multiple browsers to verify this is happening on all of them and not just one?

  • Are your browsers you're using completely up to date with all of their versions and plugins?

I have two different sites, each with a completely different installation of ArrowChat installed.
One fresh installation (no previous upgrades) and one installations I've had for about a year (so...2-3 upgrades at this point, I think).
I use Mozilla Firefox usually when browsing my site but sometimes Google Chrome. I do not have this issue present on either of my installations, on either of my sites. So, I'm wondering if maybe it's a quick-fix on your end versus a developer bug.

Still experiencing this problem.

- Tried the 'Repair ArrowChat' solution.

- Tried several browsers, desktop/mobile, cache emptied. All our users are experiencing this problem so it's probably not something local like browser/cache issues.
