I just installed Arrowchat to the root of my wordpress website. The chat icon shows up on my site pages just fine and minus the fact images appear to be just place holders, it is working (no other users to test actual chat with as of this evening).

I can log into the admin area just fine, but all links go to a 404 error.

I added the header code as a snippet so as not to require use of a child theme for my site. I've done the chmodding and deleted the install folder.

Is there a step missing that allows admin panel page links to actually go to their intended pages?

I've tried both the new and the old header/footer codes just in case that was the problem, but no change. Going back to the new header code.

Nevermind, the header code messes with my community icons too. Uninstalling. Will look for something that works better with what I have set up.
