High load server and website very slow

i just put arrowchat in my website after a bad experience with cometchat.
after installation, i put just basic option of chat without avatars - chatrooms - applications etc... just chat.
and my big suprise was just a very high load on the server 35 48 68 ... and very very slow load in all my pages, i have a jcow and it goes very very fast .so not problem of the script.
Even with cometchat, i never had my website so slow as with AC
all this with just 20-30 users online.

so i desactivate it directly, and i am waiting for a response from support, any help please ?

i have a shred hosting business plan in hostgator, and cometchat was perfect even with more than 50 users online. my bad experience was for other aspect of the script.
the script without AC is very very fast 0.02 load page.

Izaabat, how can you know that high server load is caused by Arrowchat if you are on a shared server?

Can you tell about your bd experience with Cometchat? I wanted to buy this chat some time ago because they hace Comet Technology but don't know if there are no other problems.

Your script take very high load... So i have disabled it.

I want to disable the online chatting so, i will use "chat with" function instead of online uses.

Is there any ideas to improve this?

Buddy List to 90 sec
Idle time to 1 min
